Anoopam Mission, UK celebrated the Prãgatyadin of Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj & Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji on the morning of Sunday 28th February 2010.

The mandir decoration was very colourful representing the festival of Holi together with the bhakti, creativity and enthusiasm of those involved.  Shree Thakorji Mahãrãj adorned in white and gold vagha, which were presented by Pujya Harishmuni Nakarja, Pujya Akash and Pujya Niyati in memory of Pujya Nirubhabhi.

Pujya Himat Swãmi in his Mahãtmya Darshan pravachan began telling us of traditions and the significance of Holi and Dhuleti.  He then followed with the life of Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj who was born on this auspicious day; his great work and humility forming the story of ultimate devotion and unconditional surrender. Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj accepted Mul Akshar Murti Shree Gunãtitãnand Swãmi as his guru and served him selflessly. He welcomed hardships, was thrown out of the mandir and was spoken badly of, but He continued with his beliefs and acceptance of Mul Akshar Murti Shree Gunãtitãnand Swãmi. While Mul Akshar Murti Shree Gunãtitãnand Swãmi Spoke of Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj as his varasdar.

Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj told Pujya Gordhanbhai Kothari of Vartal mandir, that to realise true internal peace, you must perform seva and see Mahãrãj in the murti and in all people. Brahmaswarup Shastriji Mahãrãj accepted Mul Akshar Murti Shree Gunãtitãnand Swãmi’s mahima and was of the select few who understood Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj. Brahmaswarup Shastriji Mahãrãj left Vartal to preach Lord Swãminãrãyan’s true philosophy of Akshar Purushottam Upasana.  Brahmaswarup Shastriji Mahãrãj’s gift to us all was Gurudev Param Pujya Yogiji Mahãrãj. Gurudev Param Pujya Yogibapa saw no negative aspects in people and saw all as “matha na mugat”. His gift to us, Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji is an illustration of the same principles. Gurudev Param Pujya Yogiji Mahãrãj often spoke of Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji as his varasdar. We pray on this auspicious day that Gurudev Param Pujya Yogibapa’s and Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji’s belief of samp, suradhbhav and ekta together with seeing Mahãrãj in all flows through us just as the bright colours beautifying the festivities of Holi.

Following this, the youth performed a medley of prarthana bhajans in the sabha – devoted to their beloved Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji.  The haribhakto joined in by clapping and singing in chorus, adding to the mood of rejoicing.  Many of them expressed a feeling they had that Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji was actually there with us, listening to the medley.

We were then fortunate to see and hear Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji’s Aashirwad from Mogri via live webcast.

In Mahãtmya Darshan Pravachan Pujya Ashwinbhai Popat spoke of the greatness of Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj and his strong inclination to spirituality, Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji and the parallels we see today in other Santo.  Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji read the life story of Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj whilst his leg was in a cast and all are strongly encouraged to read this.  By following the aagna of Pujya Himat Swãmi and the Santo, we can continue to please Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji. Being our guru, and pragat Gunãtit Sant – he is entitled to ask us a lot more from us; all he asks is that we attend regular sabha, engage in Mahãtmyadarshan, dhun and bhajan.

In Mahãtmya Darshan Pravachan Pujya Satishbhai Chatwani included the story of Pujya Gordhanbhai Kothari who was the administrator for 60 years in Vartal mandir.  The head acharayas changed 5 times during his tenure. All entrusted him and took his advice, but he found it very difficult to see Mahãrãj acting in everyone.  Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj stayed with Anadi Mahamukt Shree Gopalanand Swãmi for 12 years and then as per his aagna he went to Mul Akshar Murti Shree Gunãtitãnand Swãmi.  When Mul Akshar Murti Shree Gunãtitãnand Swãmi was leaving Junagadh Mandir, He said that He would stay in Mahuwa – the birth place of Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj; thus illustrating his love for the latter.  Understanding mahima is difficult. Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji is an inspiration to us as He sees Mahãrãj in everyone and sees positivity in all things.

Pujya Yogendrabhai and Pujya Surendrabhai spoke of the greatness of Guruvarya Param Pujya Sahebji and the mahima of the other Santo. They noted that we did not get to see Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Mahãrãj in His lifetime, but by being in the presence of Pujya Himat Swãmi and Santo it is as if He is alive today.

After the conclusion of the morning sabha, haribhakto’s were served mahaprasad prepared by Pujya Kishorebhai Jethwa and team.
In the afternoon, many Haribhakto enjoyed the live webcast of “Mara Vahala Saheb Dada” a cultural program from Anoopam Misssion, Mogri.
