Similar to visiting places of pilgrimage where history was created, the Bhakti Rally was planned to visit the historic spots where Guruvarya Saheb laid the foundation of satsang 50 years ago, by carrying out the aagna of his Gurudev Param Pujya Yogiji Maharaj. The route which ran through the university town of Vallabh Vidyanagar was planned to pay homage to the places where history was made and to refresh the memories of those historic years where the Guru-sabha was started and continued.

The moment was much awaited by haribhakto who gathered in thousands, dressed in the same attire and generating immense devotional energy and excitement. Standing in rows of three, the procession was a colourful fusion of Haribhakto and Vratdhari Sadhaks from all over the world! The roads were decorated with large “Rangoli” and banners lined the streets. At the front of the rally was a convoy of motorbikes, followed by a procession of numerous flags of the countries from which haribhakto had arrived. The atmosphere was electric as the resplendent chariots of Shree Thakorji Maharaj and that of Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb were flanked by live bands, followed by numerous floats that were interspersed with Vratdhari Sadhaks and groups of haribhakto from all the different mandals.

The Rally began symbolically at the Royal Hostel where Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb held the Guru-sabha according to Yogiji Maharaj’s aagna. Weaving through the town the rally proceeded with great pomp and ceremony, passing University Hostel – where a Mandir and weekly sabha was established in one of the hostel rooms.
