Anoopam Sur Vrund livened the ambiance with “Swaminarayan Swaminarayan” dhun seeking Lord’s blessings on his Hari Bhaktos and their spiritual blooming.
Today’s celebrations began with mantra-pushpanjali to Lord Swaminarayan.
Students of Gyan Yagna Vidyalaya poured their feelings by singing a song in English, the lyrics spelling Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb as a Guide & Inspirer for our lives to blossom. |

Pujya Ghanshyambhai Birla and Pujya Ambubhai Shastri have been members of Guru Sabha since its early years. They had the privilege of honouring Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb with a garland and welcoming the dignitaries seated on the stage.
Pujya Ashvinbhai recalled the divine incident of 1957 when Yogiji Maharaj asked Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb to start a weekly sabha. A then 17 year old youth along with three other young pillars – Vitthaldas, Shanubhai and Gordhanbhai - created the foundation. Pujya Ashvinbhai requested Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb to bless his haribhaktos with the same devotion towards their Guru, as much as He has towards His guru Gurudev Yogiji Maharaj. |

Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb welcomed all present and referred to them as “Akshar Muktos”. Starting of Guru-sabha and its continuity for 50 years is a direct result of Gurudev Yogiji Maharaj’s unconditional love and affection towards Youth. |

Guruarya Param Pujya Saheb gave examples of Arjun, Hanuman and Anand as bhakto of highest faith towards Lord Shri Krishna, Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Gautam Buddha respectively. Gurudev Param Pujya Yogiji Maharaj used to shower his unflinching love onto his followers, by which they could reach the highest levels of bhakti. Due to Gurudev Yogiji Maharaj’s simplicity, it was difficult to recognise him. He was an ocean of love and affection that pulled youth towards him. With his patient persistence, Gurudev Param Pujya Yogiji Maharaj slowly turned youths towards the essence of satsang. Gurudev Yogiji Maharaj had informed his wish to have a mandir in the youth hostel. Instantaneously, Guruvarya Param Pujya Saheb and his friends converted one hostel room into a temple where Param Pujya Pramukh Swamiji unexpectedly arrived and offered the first aarti. Fulfilling Guru’s ordinary appearing wish, creates extra-ordinary results. |
